Colored lines
I wish I could color the lines. This will make the production line easier to read, especially when there are a lot of crossing lines. I would also use it to indicate which lines are going between different areas in my factory. Bonus idea: The default color of a placed line could be the color of the item it’s representing.
Tick Boxes
I’d like for there to be tick boxes I can mark on the components. When I’m in the middle of a large build, I spend a good deal of time staring at the model to try to remember what I’ve already done. If there were tick boxes that I can mark off what I’ve already completed in a build, that would be incredibly helpful.
Roadmap
there are apparently loads of important things you’re working, but what are they? (might also help cut down repeats here….maybe) Just a list in dicord would be lovely.
Colouring boxes so you know what you've done
Hi, it’s a great program. Seems like this might already be a suggestion but it would be great if boxes could have either the outline or background colour set by the user. This would aid in tracking when things are completed, what is going in which factory building etc. Thanks for the efforts so far!
Background Image
Love the program, thought it might be nice to create all of my “outposts” overlaid on a background image of the map? Then I can place each factory in it’s respective location, or simply plan modular factories for the future. Obviously it would be nice to create lines for trains between them as well, but I’ll think about that separately. please excuse me if this is already an option, still learning!
Basic text (and shapes?)
While we are now able to use machines titles as note boxes, I think it would be interesting to have a “text , and maybe very basic shapes like squares and arrows to be used around/behind the machines, which would allow to put notes and all on the planner. Although shapes are just a plus, notes are definitely essentials.
World map background option?
Might be kind of fun to use something other than black and white backgrounds.
Multiplayer support
Me and my buddy keep sending it back and forth and it would be nice if we could work on the same one at the same time
Tick
Would be great to tick things that already done
Colored lines with different colors if its a pipe or belt.
After a while i have lines everywhere, and they are all same color. having a hard time trying to figure out whats pipes or belts. Thank you for an amazing app.

Import/Export Outpost
The ability to import and export specific outposts to/from a larger setup, mostly for sharing/collab when playing multiplayer.
Make the Calculations Faster
The calculations can slow down a lot on medium to larger builds. This is a very hard problem to tackle and it is not caused by a simple bug but rather requires the design of a more efficient algorithm or complex optimizations to try and simplify the problem. This has been worked on greatly since 2022 to even get it to where it is today and hopefully more improvements can be made. There is also the manual calculator which does not take into account how splitters and mergers prefer to split/merge and is always fast.

Under/overclock for a set number of machines
Add some way to calculate the necessary over/underclock based on the calculated output requirement and a set number of machines. Maybe a second box after the clock speed in the context menu. Example: From a calculated 2.6 constructors of output set to 2 machines = 130% clock 3 machines = 87% clock 4 machines = 65% clock etc Which is just ceil(100*output/machines)
Proper russian translation
Other suggested russian translations have inaccuracies so I made a proper translation where every line was translated manually

A section tool, like Figma, would help to organise the plan
Rearrange connections from a machine
This one’s minor, but I often have a machine with 2+ outputs (or inputs) in the wrong order from where my diagram layout needs them, leading to additional crossing lines and making the whole flow harder to read. Example: In this diagram for fuel power, I have Refineries (listed as “H.O.R. Recipe") with Heavy Oil Residue on the top (going to machines below) and Polymer Residue on the bottom (going to machines above). Being able to swap the output positioning would untangle the connections. https://i.imgur.com/uWoD8BB.png
Electricity calculator
it would be good if you add electricity calculation so that we now how much we produce / use because actually i have every industry in my game in the modeler and i would love to know how much i produces / use for future industry
Suggestion/Annoyance - Set how much a Resource gets split/Lock value/List if more needed
This has been one of my biggest annoyances thus far with Modeler. Here is a real setup I have going: Note the upper left corner. https://i.imgur.com/p9W8SYZ.png This setup requires 2,640 Sulfur. Now I could drag out from the merger and get that I need 2.2 if I set pure node max overclock with mk3. But I prefer the way I have listed as I can mix 2 pure nodes, with 1 Impure. It helps me personally keep track of the total nodes I am using. (2 of the 5 total pure, and 1 of the 6 total impure) As shown, I also like to min/max stuff so I am wanting the full 300 from the Impure, though I only need 204 for this setup, meaning 96 goes elsewhere. However no matter how I set this up unless I have it listed as going into a depot or another machine, it always only splits it 150/150 even with the splitter nodes, this further skews all the numbers everywhere else. https://i.imgur.com/nKqP1aI.png Note how the numbers for everything else are now effed because this is insisting 150 gets added to the setup instead of 209 it needs. The only way this properly calculates is if I first place a depot down, tell it directly how much goes in, a.k.a I have to math this out instead of this tool doing it for me… and THEN hook it up. https://i.imgur.com/Vq7I4XF.png Then it properly lists 204 and puts everything else as it should be. This or place a random machine and again have to tell it I want 96 to go this way, instead of it you know, calculating these numbers for me. (something very handy for bigger numbers) The priority splitters or other options do nothing for this. Or if they do I sure have not found away as with them it only sticks all of the resources down one side and 0 on the other… so again you have to personally figure out the values here. Even adding a Sink it still either splits it evenly or well. https://i.imgur.com/4Ox14L0.png Anything else still forces 0. I can not change the value on the sink, or anything else attached to this splitter. Only options is to clear, add waypoint, or align. Nothing to tell it to even split the values. So for one it would be nice to have some way to allow a LEFT OVER amount of a resource if what we have is more then what we need. Maybe in green text 204 / 96 with 96 in green sense I want the full 300 from that node. Hover over could even say its extra. This way we don’t need to hook up anything extra to try and split off the amount. This could be a toggle on the machines/miners/etc if we want this machine to allow extra to come from it so that extra can go elsewhere. Two, as stated I would love it if we could LOCK values. The uranium I have listed in the screen shot? Id like to LOCK THAT VALUE along with well, everything else so nothing else that I may add can mess with it, or anything else that I already set up. This way all of the values don’t start getting screwed due to adding another resource to the chain or have resources coming in from another outpost that may have a value that don’t add up to the amount needed. If I don’t want everything else to change to accommodate what is coming in (like the sulfur only adding 150) Three, then you can include the same but maybe red text, meaning for the setup you got going you need an extra of this much of this item to make this valid. This also plays with the above, to show how much more of this resource is needed to make this setup valid. Only actua
Power Management
It would be pretty cool if one could see the used power and the generated power. I’m currently planning a turbo fuel factory with it, and just kinda miss it, also for future prepping my planning, knowing when I need more power. Extra bonus if the overclocking would be considered
