SOMERSLOOP

add a check mark option for sommersloop

Custom colors for outposts

It would be useful to have the ability to assign different colors to outposts. For example, using different colors to easily distinguish between different areas, factories, or purposes.

Limit storage input rate

It would be useful to have an option to limit the input rate of a storage, for example to allow only 5 items per minute. This could be useful for controlling item flows and creating more precise production setups.

Real-time collaboration / Multiplayer editing

Real-time collaboration It would be great to have a collaborative mode where multiple people can work on the same project at the same time, without having to export and import project files. For example, being able to see the other users' mouse cursors and what they are doing in the project, like in other collaborative tools. This would be really useful for planning factories with friends!

Power summary of multiple machines/outposts

I like how you can see how much power an individual kind of machine uses but I would like to be able to highlight either a full factory blueprint/outpost or partial factory and see how much power that specific segment uses. I can just add them all up right now but for bigger factories it would be nice.

Color options for better readability

add recolor options for buildings and belts for better readability on large models. change the color of your overflow sections or the input output building to tell at a glans what is what

Satisfactory Plus?

Would you consider a fork of this, or an option in the settings, with the Satisfactory Plus mod recipes and buildings? I really get how Modeler works and like how easy it is to tweak a factory plan, so I find it much easier to use than the planner on the KMods pages. I’m sure most Plus players would also appreciate such an update/version. Thanks for considering. :)

Is it possible to add an option to automatic export saves to cloud on a set interval?

The autosave option saves the arquives on the local computer on the set interval, but the Steam Cloud is only updated on app exit. This means that if I open the Modeler, make a few changes, and DON'T close the app before shutting down my computer, the Steam Cloud doesn't have time to sync. Because of this, whatever changes I made are stuck on that local PC until I turn it back on and select the option to upload its files to the cloud This situation happens to me a lot since I like to plan production lines on my work computer when I have free time. If I forget to close the app before turning it off, my progress is essentially lost until the next day

Kanban Board

I think a simple Kanban board would fit Satisfactory Modeler extremely well. Designing a factory is usually only half of the process, after planning it in the Modeler, you still have to actually build it in-game, often over multiple sessions. For larger factories, it becomes very easy to lose track of what has already been built, what you're currently working on, and what still needs to be done. It would be great to have a small project Kanban board with default columns such as: -To Do Doing Done Users could create simple cards with a title and optionally a description/note, then drag them between columns. For example: Build Steel Foundry Route coal to the factory Connect power Upgrade main belt to Mk.3 Build Heavy Modular Frame section Connect Quartz outpost Add storage and overflow to Sink There are already suggestions for marking individual objects as built / not built / in progress, which would also be very useful. I see a Kanban board as complementary to that idea rather than a replacement: object status tracks the diagram itself, while the Kanban tracks the overall factory-building workflow and tasks. A very simple first implementation could just be a collapsible panel with the three columns, editable cards, and drag-and-drop. It wouldn't need to become a full project-management system. Later on, if desired, cards could optionally be linked to an outpost, group, or object in the model. Satisfactory Modeler is already where I plan what I'm going to build. Having a lightweight Kanban would make it also possible to track what I need to build next, without having to maintain a separate Trello/Notion/checklist alongside the model.

trains, drones and trucks

add a node where we can input/output multiple items and see the fuel cost for trucks and drones

Highlight limiting inputs

If working backwards (i.e. “I want to make 30 Heavy Modular Frames per minute”) it would be nice to see raw inputs highlighted that are the limiting the final production value.

Item Labels

I would love to simplify my diagrams by placing a label with a certain tag/name and all simallar labels would be autoconnected without wires going across the entire screen. Additionally this could also be used to gather all inputs of a certain item and design a singular productionline that automatically provides for all labels

High Resolution Screenshot Export of Modeler

Often to take any kind of screenshot one has to zoom way out. Taking a screenshot then (after zooming out to get everything in view) everything is too small to be useful at that point. The abilty to export a high-resolution image of the build would be useful. Alternatively…. some kind of “notation” layer overlay to take and add notes freestyle, scribble in over the layout… etc. Basically a scratchpad layer… might be cool

Markings for completed parts of factory

The point of this software is to model factories to be built yes? This seems like a mission critical kind of suggestion for clarity of building. Perhaps as simple as color coding… a way to check off parts of the factory being models as built, not built… in progress… etc. I see two similar posts… I like both of them. I don’t think the form of implementation matters, just the ability to keep track somehow.

Edge scrolling while trying to connect buildings in large scale (or ability to dead end a path and pick it back up later without using an intermediate building)

With very large layouts, it gets difficult to connect buildings/outposts that are far away, especially if trying to keep it clean. The ability to either get edge scrolling while holding the connector line or better yet, place waypoints dynamically as you go would be really awesome

Recipes used in overview panels

id love an overview panel that shows the recipes im using + how many machines are using them. I like to use many different recipes rather than just ‘the most efficient’ and seeing how many machines i have using each would be wonderful information.

should have an option to have a storage container store the excess products to see how much more of input items can be utilized instead of just enough for the processes its connected to

Information Table/Bar

It would be very useful to have a real-time updating table showing how many machines would be used to build that plant, the number of energy shards required, the current energy consumption, and other relevant, helpful information.
